Edward James Pitman, May 9, 1951 – July 6, 2011 Ed passed away at the age of 60 years. Ed was born in Marshalltown, Iowa to Olga and Dean Pitman. The family moved to West Los Angeles in 1959. Ed was a thespian and active in the theater arts at Venice High School where he graduated in 1969. Ed beautified many homes in Southern California using his talents as a paint contractor. He was also very active in the BPOE – Los Angeles Lodge 99 - where he served as Exalted Ruler. He also extended his benevolence to the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Edward is preceded in death by his mother and father and brother Robert D Pitman. He is survived by his brother Gerald Mandaville. He will be missed by his nieces, nephews and cousins in the Midwest and the many people whose lives he touched.
