To the Hartwell Family: I am beyond saddened that my best friend has been taken from all of us. We were suppose to grow old together and had so many chapters left to write. 43 years we were best friends. RIP Barbara until we meet again. Keep watch over all you have left behind. "Heaven is a little bit closer when you're at the beach." We are going to miss you so much. Who will tease Stephen now that you are gone???? LOVE YOU ~

To Barbara's Family and Friends,

I am stunned and saddened by the sad news of Barbara's passing. She was the dear and very close friend of my mother, Jane Barbuto-Brenner, since they were both in high school together. I knew Barbara my whole life. She was a very warm, loving, and caring person. In recent years, we kept in touch on Facebook. As a dear family friend, she was invited to my upcoming wedding in November. My mother told me how excited she was to be there to see me get married. I will always remember what a good friend she was to my mother and how she was considered part of our extended family. Please find comfort in your memories and accept me and my fiancé's condolences. Our thoughts are with you and yours. May Barbara be at peace.

Thoughtfully,
Marissa and Gareth

I will always remember Barbara tooling around town in her purple car with the Bah Humbug license plate, funny considering how much she loved the little ones at the holidays and being with her extended family. So sad.

Socked and saddened by the news of Barbara's sudden passing. She was a dear friend of my sister's, Jane Barbuto-Brenner. She also watched my other sister's children, many years ago, when they were young. I've known Barbara since I was a young teenager, growing up on Nixon Lane. She often came to our family gatherings and would stop by on holidays. She will be greatly missed by those who had the privilege to know her. Rest in peace, Barbara.

I'll always remember Barbara tooling around town in her purple car with the Bah Humbug license plate. Funny - especially considering how much she loved the holidays with the kids and extended family. So sad.
