Barbara Ann Hartwell

Barbara Ann Hartwell of Stoneham, formerly of Medford, passed away suddenly July 30, 2013 at her home. She was 57 years of age. Born in Melrose, Barbara was the beloved daughter of the late Francis A. Hartwell and Margaret (Kiernan) Hartwell. Barbara was a warm and caring daughter, sister, sister in law, aunt, great aunt and friend. She will be sadly missed. Barbara was a dedicated employee for the Department of Corrections for many years. She adored her family and spending time with them. She leaves a giant void in their lives. Barbara was the loving sister of Susan Tangney and her husband John, Skip Hartwell and his wife Christine. She was the devoted aunt of Jay Tangney and his wife Dina, Taralee Kirk, Craig Hartwell and his wife Kristeen, Lindsay Hartwell and her fiancé Scott McCormick. Barbara enjoyed the love and company of her grand nieces and grand nephews and they enjoyed hers also. Funeral from the Barile Family Funeral Home, 482 Main St. (RT 28) STONEHAM Friday at 9am followed by a Funeral Mass Celebrating Barbara's Eternal Life in St. Patrick Church, 71 Central St. Stoneham at 10am. Family and friends are cordially invited to gather and share remembrances with the Family on Thursday from 4-7pm in the Funeral Home. Valet Parking and handicapped elevator are available.
