Andrew "Andy" James Butterfield, 50, of Broad Brook, passed away suddenly December 22, 2013 at his home. Born March 9, 1963 in Bennington, Vermont, son of Thomas and Helen (Woodbury) Butterfield II of Windsor, he was raised in Windsor attending Windsor public schools. He received his BA from Castleton State College in Vermont. An avid soccer player in both high school and college, he also loved playing golf with his brothers, dad, and friends. He enjoyed spending time with his family on outings, camping, and especially trips to Cape Cod. He was employed by Advanced Performance Glass, a company that will always be remembered as being very good to him. Besides his parents, Andrew leaves two daughters Sara and Kellie Butterfield; the love of his life and constant companion Heather Spencer and her son Brenden Barkyoumb; his former wife Janice; brothers Mark of Windsor, Charlie of Canton, and Stephen of Wethersfield; and sister Rebecca Butterfield Mackey of Crestwood, KY; and many nieces and nephews. Andrew's family will receive friends Sunday, Dec. 29, 2013 from 12-3 pm at the Carmon Windsor Funeral Home, 807 Bloomfield Avenue, Windsor followed by a service in celebration of his life at 3 pm.
