Joanne and Scott. We cannot even imagine the pain you are experiincing with the loss of you son Ryan. Our hearts break for you. Having just gone through the loss of our friend and your dad, and the difficulties and sadness you are dealing with as your mom . copes with the changes in her own life, you are in need of all the support available. We are still in Florida and had a Mass said at the CSJ Motherhouse in honor of Ryan. May Mary wrap her mantle around you all and protect you, may you feel an angel on your shoulder lighting your way and may you always experience God's love.in your hearts. You are not alone

I supervised Ryan in my role as a Residential Assistant in Dublin, Ireland as part of the NU.in: FIE@DBS program that Ryan was part of last semester, and in every single event and occasion I was lucky to have spent with him and his friends, he was an absolute gentleman, an ever-present source of positive energy, and a dedicated and valued friend to all who he came in contact with during his time spent with us in Ireland. I hope you know of the impact your son and brother had on the people he befriended, volunteered with, or came in contact with while in Ireland. Please accept my deepest condolences to the Shaw family and all those who knew Ryan.

The deepest abyss of pain and grief the human spirit can endure, is the death of a child. May God give you the strength to get through this. Although I never knew this handsome young man, I too lost my 25 year old son. So very sorry for your loss. You will see him again.
