Morgan H.R. Fleming

Morgan H.R. Fleming, 74, of Canton, beloved wife of Beth McCabe, passed away Wednesday, August 31, 2016, at home surrounded by her family and friends. Born in Newark, NJ, daughter of the late William and Helena (Collins) Walker, she was raised in NJ, lived in Maui for many years moving to Canton 35 years ago. Morgan had a multi-faceted professional career; she owned an advertising agency in Maui; was a wine consultant; and had been general manager of The Canton Package Store owned by her brother Bill. She had also been employed by CIGNA and Health Drive providing health care products and services to the elderly. As a wine consultant, over the past three decades she was passionate about expanding wines from the Pacific Northwest to New England and wrote a newspaper column on wines. She was a tremendous cook and truly enjoyed golf but her passion was wine. She was also an avid reader. Morgan was a member of the Canton Chamber of Commerce and served on the Board of Cantonbury Heights. Besides Beth and the clan McCabe; she leaves a son David A. Fleming (Deron) of Fayetteville, NC; two grandsons Desmund and Damon Fleming; and her sister Helena Y. Hicks of Piscataway, NJ, in addition to a host of cousins, nieces, and nephews. She was predeceased by brothers William C. and Ollie P. Walker. Her family will receive friends Wednesday, September 14, 2016 from 5-7 pm at the Carmon Funeral Home & Family Center, 301 Country Club Road, Avon.
