I'll always remember Dave with his contagious smile - also he would come to borrow tools from Art and I'd say you know where there are?? because I had no idea where they were - I'm sorry for your loss Linda, Lori, and Jenny. I wish I could have been home when him and Linda stopped by this past year. Art & Tina Fisette neighbors from McKinley.

Cousin David,
I always looked forward to your smile, kind words and sincere hug. Our family reunion memories will be cherished and only wish we would have started them 20 years sooner.I can only imagine the challenge it was to host the reunion this year but so thankful for another wonderful memory. The adults enjoyed being in the company of family and can't forget to mention all the special touches and wonderful food. Alexia. Kameron and Mikayla's highlight was Emma and her grandpa's tractor ride. You will be missed and my thoughts and prayers are with you Linda, Jen, Lori and family. Love you bunches

Today we say goodbye to our friend and neighbor. Way before we expected. From the day of his diagnosis Dave was strong and positive. We had no idea his time was near. It was all in the plan though and it is not ours to figure out, we have to trust and believe it was his time.
Dave enriched our lives with his caring hand, many stories, listening ear, advice to give and forever a tool to lend. One of our first thoughts of Dave is he was always happy and kind. He would come over and see what the latest project was or where the next trip was whenever he saw us out in the yard. Often it gave us a break from working and was comforting knowing someone else cared about us. We have never known a neighbor who ultimately became a close friend and even a second father at times. He encouraged us as our family grew and was always there to lend a helping hand. He will be sorely missed in our lives and in our neighborhood. We are thankful he is a peace and did not suffer too long. We will continue to support Linda and his family as he would have known we would do. We will miss Dave so much.
Love Tom and Sandy

The world has lost an awesome guy! Dave and Linda were our neighbors on McKinley and they were the best family around! Dave was always the first one to come lend a helping hand without even being asked. I am so glad that we got together this past year. Our thoughts and prayers are with your beautiful family. I know Dave will be dearly missed.

The Pairs were long time neighbors of ours growing up on McKinley Street in Warren, MI. I loved the Pair family!!! Even though we moved away to Grand Haven in the early 80's our family always stayed in contact through neighbors or through Facebook. David and Linda came to show their love and support to our family recently when my father passed away - it was during a very difficult time for them - how brave and loving David & Linda were - such grace. Our prayers and love to all of you at this time - we are here loving and supporting you. JoElle (Winters) Slaughter and family.

Our hearts go out to Linda, the girls and the rest of the family. Dave was such a gentle, genuine human being - always a smile on his face and a kind word to say. The world was a better place having Dave Pair in it, and we are so lucky to have had the pleasure to spend a good part of our lives with him as an extended part of the family. Love to you Dave - you were one heck of a good man!

I will miss you Dave. Dave was always smiling and had an inquisitive mind that would lead to some great conversations in the area of investments, biking, technology and so many other topics. Dave could figure out how things worked because he always took interest in things around him. He took interest in the people in his life and this makes him a special person who will be missed very much. My prayers are with the Pair Family through this difficult time.

To the Pair Family, I am so sorry to hear of Dave's passing. I never knew him personally but I knew Lori and Jenny in high school and had the privilege of working with their Mom later on at Campbell-Ewald. All of the Pairs are loving, kind, special people. I am sending prayers to all of you at this difficult time.

I will miss Dave's unending friendship. As a neighbor for many years... I could always count on Dave being there for me.... even if it was just simple conversation while cutting grass. He was always welcomed... and enjoyed in my corner of the word. As I am writing this... I am overwhelmed with emotion. Just last week I was working around the front yard... and was wondering where's Dave... he should be here be now... checking up on me? His simple words of encouragement were always priceless. I will miss him deeply.

You were a good neighbor Dave. Always there to help, especially in the snow! You will be missed on Vancouver Drive.
