My prayers are with the family. I met Frank at the Colorado Springs Olympic training center back in 1983. What an awesome man then and am sure he was after. God has another angel in heaven. Such an honor to meet him and train along side him and his team mates. So much courage and a fighter. God bless you all. Michelle Clark of Hurst Texas

The Baeurle Family will always be thankful for Frank's endless kindness and his selfless determination in designing gloves to fit our son's unconventional hands. Because of Frank, winter was literally made possible for Alex. The world has lost a bright light, but the Masley family has lost a loving husband and father - our very deepest sympathies go out to all of you. You are in our thoughts and prayers,

Dear Donna,
I want to BE LIKE FRANK. Even though only an acquaintance, both of you have always held a special place in my spirit of people I have met in my life. I am so saddened to hear about Frank's passing. I know how strong you and the family are and you will hold his spirit deep in your soul.
It was only by chance that I would meet Frank. Borrowing his wetsuit to compete in a triathlon will always put a smile on my face.
Please know that my love goes out to you and the family!
Much love, Carolanne Leone

I only heard of Frank's untimely decline and passing last week. I set to write this poem in time for the ceremony last Friday, not knowing what would unfold that day, but hoping this would contribute in some small way to the tribute that this worthy man deserves. As a fellow athlete, I got to know Frank during his luge years. I was in the athletic 'generation' immediately behind Frank, and we all imitated everything that Frank did, hoping that his athletic success would somehow in part accrue to us as well. In the heat of the moment on the track, we genuinely used to tell each other "Be like Frank." I therefore hope this poem speaks for all who knew Frank and can be used in the new foundation I learned about on Friday called "Be Like Frank":
FRANK MASLEY - A WORTHY HERO FOR ALL TIME
Every life starts as a gift and is therefore precious
Well lived, a good one becomes broad, quick, and full of light
The twinkle in Frank's eye showed he was chosen to be the best of us
His every action through his amazing life became a mysterious, inspiring sight.
Those touched in all his walks keeps in their hearts from him a very happy song
Family, faith, country, community, business, sport, school; he did it all right
The noble shadows cast by this great and gentle man are indeed very long
Even when bested, he still built us up, concealing his cunning and might.
Somehow Frank was able to fold many lives into one
And each was lived in a way that only a worthy hero could stride
He achieved way more than most awarded double his run
Yet through it all, sincerity, integrity, and all out effort were his only code.
Franks refused to go gentle into that good night
And so his final gift to us all is that his beacon burns forever bright.
Rest In Peace Frank

Dear Masley Family;
I am so very sorry for your loss. My family lived three doors down from the Masleys and my brothers and I were there to witness the very first backyard luge that "Frankie" created. He had a vision of what he wanted, and who would have believed how far he took that vision. The residents on Carole Road as well as others in Chestnut Hill Ests., and I am supposing most of Delaware smiled and applauded in unison as we watched Frank carry the American Flag in the 1984 Sarajevo Olympic games. I am not surprised that such a kind and intelligent young man turned into such a kind, caring and giving adult. My hope is that all of these wonderful words written throughout this guest book will give you, his family and friends some comfort in the difficult days and months ahead.
With Sincere Condolences,
Debbie Galbreath-Meliodon

Frank you will be sorely missed. The years in Lake Placid are some of the most memorable years of my life and you had a lot to do with that. You welcomed me in and befriended me in some of the most challenging times of my life. You are the salt of my life that brought an unforgettable flavor to living. I have been blessed to have known you and you will forever be in my memories.

Frank has left an indelible mark on so many in our community...our military, the Glove Team at Masley Enterprises, the Olympic and Luge community, friends, family, etc. I had the pleasure of ubering Frank to his hyperbaric treatment and he became an unofficial member of the care team, always making sure to ask each of their her patients how they were and introducing the "uber" team and caregivers. Donna, Paige, Stephen and Dean...thank you for sharing Frank with all of us.

Kevin's family was very close to the Masley's as he grew up in Todd Estates.
Donna was very close friends with Jane in high school and also worked with Frank at Gore. Frank and Mac Brinkman worked very closely at Gore and shared many memories. We lost Mac in 2012 at a young age, too.
Frank was such positive and a a great person. He truly led a benevolent life and was an example to all.
Donna, my heart goes out to you and your family for your loss. Over time the memories will move from your head to your heart. May God be with you as you go through this difficult process.
Loves and Blessings,
Kev and Donna Adams

A true gentleman, and family man that I met many years ago after 9-11. Frank strived to develop the best tactical glove for our special operation team members here at home and abroad. He was a true patriot who left an imprint on this State and Country. Thoughts and prayers go out to his amazing family.

I met Frank in person only once but his wife Donna was my nurse when I was 13 yrs old at CHOP getting back surgery. I loved Donna. Especially as a 13 year old boy, I was absolutely in love with her. She was the nicest person and always talked about her then fiance, Frank the Luge guy. She brought in some signed pictures from him for me which really helped keep up my morale while I was stuck in a bed for 3 months.
After my surgery, I'm happy to say that the wonderful doctors (Dr. Bruce) and nurses got me out and eventually on my feet and on my way back to a normal life with no recurring back problems. I wound up in Florida with my own construction business for a bit (until the housing crash of course). I worked with a few ex-cons and came to realize how difficult life is for them to stay out of trouble and not fall back to being on the periphery of legal society. Once you have a criminal record, getting a job is damn near impossible. You're stuck working minimum wage positions for the rest of your life and ultimately frustrated.
My parents forwarded me a News Journal article about Frank and Donna and their glove factory/ex-con outreach program that I hope continues. I was able to get in touch with Frank via email and told him how wonderful his attitude is and mentioned my story of how I knew Donna and how, as a 13 yr old, was in love with her. I'll never forget his response to my comment about Donna:
Yes Brian, I'm quite in love with her too!
Frank was a great man and the world will miss him.

I will always remember Frank as a problem solver. He had a knack of combining common sense with his technical skills to get any job done the right way. He always had a smile and I don't believe he ever said an unkind word toward anyone. He was a true champion of the human spirit and will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

I was den mother for Frank's den and remember how he loved to toboggan at our cottage in the Poconos. I remember hearing that he would build hills whenever it snowed in Delaware so that he could sled.
All of our family followed his Olympic feats and read the articles about his business ventures.
Please accept our condolences. God bless Frank and his family.

Dearest Donna and family,
I am so saddened to be overseas this week and unable to make Frank's services. I'm sure my tears would pool together with all the others of the huge family of luge friends who will be attending. My thoughts will be with you all on Friday and beyond.
Frank was and will remain such a positive force in my life in so many ways, over so many years. I feel honored and blessed to have shared in a small portion of his time with us.
Your idea of emulating Frank in our daily lives is wonderful! Be like Frank and make the world better!
Love to all,

Frank was such a delight to work with in the beginning stages of DuPont's Intergraph program. I was the first designer and he was the tech support before we could even get a drawing to scale online. He always had a smile on his face. He was a true gem. I am so sad Frank left us so soon.

I firmly believe that we're put here by God to serve and make the lives of others better. It's rare to find someone who accomplishes so many things but at the same time is humble and not above others. That's Frank. I sincerely thank him for all of his lessons that continue to serve me and others today and beyond. His impact is larger and more enduring that he could ever have imagined.
My love to Donna, their children, and the rest of the Masley family.
Rest in Peace.

He created a business that respects colleagues and customers alike. We can all be better people by having been touched by Frank. God bless Frank's family and friends.

At heaven's gate we are asked What did you do with the gifts that you were given' ?
When Frank was asked, he paused and thought before answering: I tried to love my family, friends, teammates, co-workers and members of the community as hard as I could. I gave them everything that I had each moment I was on earth.'
God smiled in appreciation of Frank's humility and said You must have done a LOT MORE than that, Frank, based on the number of messages that I have received. You believed in of what others were capable and you always tried to help create a smooth track for them to ride.
Frank did not know what to say but he flashed his warm, warm smile.
Then God said: Sled on into my house Frank and revel in the beauty of what will follow for every soul that you touched. You have exceeded My expectations !! Now, can you teach me about luge?
