Clancy, Joseph Daniel, of Westwood, Massachusetts, 90, passed away on April 22, 2017 surrounded by his loving family. He leaves his wife of 70 years, Leatrice Joy Clancy. He also leaves his three children and their spouses: Barbara Clancy MacLeod and Stephen of Stoneham, Linda Clancy and Dr. Arthur Gendron of Hopkinton, and Joseph Daniel Clancy, Jr. and Carol of Canton. He was the proud grandfather of Keith MacLeod; Grant, Danielle and Andrea Gendron; and Joseph III and Mark Clancy. He is also survived by his sister, Kathleen Cummings of Florida, and is predeceased by three sisters, Marie, Noreen and Margaret. Joseph, a CPA, was the former President of Atlanticare Medical Center, Lynn. He graduated from Boston English High and received his B.S. and M.B.A. from Northeastern University. His hospital career began at Boston Children's Medical Center and Beth Israel Hospital. He was a Past National Chairman of the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA) and received many achievement awards. He loved living in the town of Westwood for 60 years and volunteered on numerous boards and organizations for which he received the town's John J. Cronin Award for service. He served as a Trustee of Norwood Hospital. Joe was a Marine Corps veteran of WWII. Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours at Holden, Dunn and Lawler Funeral Home, 55 High Rock Street, Westwood on April 28 from 4–8pm. Funeral procession from the funeral home on Saturday, April 29 at 9am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Margaret Mary Church at 10am and interment with military honors at New Westwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Margaret Mary, 845 High Street, Westwood, MA 02090, where Joe was an active volunteer for many years. Holden-Dunn-Lawler www.hdlfuneralhome.net

Joe was a friend for 35 years throughout HFMA , he was always ready to volunteer, to help when needed and to give support and sound advise ,especially to the young members. He will be greatly missed and never forgotten......a true gentleman .
