Theodore "Ted" Nelson

MIDDLEBORO----Theodore A. "Ted" Nelson, 67, of Middleboro, formerly of Easton, passed away suddenly at Tobey Hospital in Wareham. He was the loving husband of Doreen M. (Kundicz) Nelson. Born in Quincy, a son of the late Edwin G. and Dorothy (Oman) Nelson, he was raised in Brockton and was a 1969 graduate of Brockton High School. He continued his education at Benjamin Franklin Institute in Boston earning a certificate in Automotive mechanics. Theodore worked as a mechanic in the automotive industry for 45 years. A licensed private pilot, he served as the President of the Brockton Flying Club and flew out of Taunton Municipal Airport. Known as "Nel Air" his greatest passion was time spent flying with family and friends. In addition to his wife Doreen, he was the devoted father of Shauna D. Rommelmeyer and her husband James of Middleboro; two sisters, Barbara Matta and her husband Ronald of Conway, SC., and Jane Rosado of Brockton; a grandson, James Theodore Rommelmeyer of Middleboro; and several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral on Thursday at 10:00 a.m. in Kane Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 605 Washington Street (Rte.138) Easton. Interment will follow in Furnace Village Cemetery, Easton.
