To Serena and Family. I'm so very sorry for your loss and my prayers are with you. I was very shocked to hear about Willie from my family. I always felt that Willie was a great guy. He was and still is a great friend and teammate. I have to say he was the fastest wide receiver I ever had to cover at LSU. He was someone I could always talk with about things. I pray that God will comfort you and your family at this time. I hope that Willie and my twin brother LeRoid are having a conversation with the Lord about playing football with the Raiders.

I knew Willie from the years when he worked at LA School for the Deaf. He was a friendly man who was kind to everyone that he met on campus. He was a great role model for the children who attended school there. Although I have not seen him since I retired, I always considered him a friend. I am saddened by the loss of a good soul. I pray that the family will find peace.
