Thomas J. Collura

New Bedford - Mr. Thomas J. Collura, of New Bedford, formerly of Norwood and Waltham, died at home on Saturday, December 14, 2019. He was 62. Tom was born in Waltham on March 17, 1957, a son of the late Joseph and Justine (Mahoney) Collura. He began his career as an electronics engineer and later worked in the construction industry as a mason. Throughout his life he had a passion for music and was well known as a talented guitarist. He is survived by his children, Maura Coleman, Joseph Ford, Jeffrey Fitzgerald and Jamie Fitzgerald; his sisters, Karen J. Healy (Kevin) of Waltham and Gail M. Collura of Acton; his niece and nephews, Casey, Chris and Jeff Healy and Cody Scott and his longtime companion, Teresa Rose. Tom was also a brother of the late Philip and Joseph Collura. Family and friends will honor and remember Tom's life by gathering to visit in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte.20), Waltham on Friday, December 20th from 10 to 11 a.m. followed by his funeral service at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Waltham.
