Martin Keur

Martin Keur Jr., age 40, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, March 26, 2020 after a battle with Non-Hogkins Lymphoma. Marty and Rachel were married for 17 ½ years. He was a loving and faithful husband. He was the ever-present involved father who was in tune with his children's lives. He was known in the community as Coach Keur and coached Zeeland East Football, the Diamond and Elite Baseball teams, and Lake Effect Softball teams. He worked for Hutt Trucking in Strategic Accounts. He was a faithful follower of Christ, was active in Engedi Church, and claimed Galatians 2:20 for his own: I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. Galatians 2:20 Marty was dearly loved and will be missed by many. He is survived by his wife, Rachel Keur; son, Austin Keur; daughter, Leah Keur; parents; Martin and Mary Jane Keur; sister, Melissa Drotzur; mother-in-law, Polly and Charlie Roark; father-in-law, Ben and Jane Phillips; brother-in-law, Jonathan Phillips; sister-in-law, Lindsey and Josh Eastman; and his nieces and nephews. A private funeral service will be held at Engedi Church and a Celebration of Marty's Life will be planned at a later date. Burial to take place at West Drenthe Cemetery. Marty's family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff of 5 South at Spectrum Butterworth for their excellent and tender care of Marty. You became our friends and you were like angels on earth. You will forever be a part of our family. THANK YOU!
