Brad Frith Obituary

Published by John F. Givnish Funeral Home - Buckingham on Feb. 21, 2021.
Brad Carter Frith of Buckingham Township, Pennsylvania, passed away at his home on February 21, 2021 at the age of 47. Brad was diagnosed with ALS in January 2017 and after a courageous four-year battle, succumbed to the devastating disease. From the time of diagnosis, he was determined to make the most of every day. Brad attended Jefferson's Weinberg ALS Center quarterly for comprehensive multidisciplinary treatment and was guided through the "next steps" as the disease progressed. He utilized new ALS drugs, participated in trials, and ultimately donated his body to ALS research at Jefferson continuing his legacy. Brad demonstrated incredible patience and made the most of each day when facing ever changing adversity. He was unbelievably brave and an incredible role model for his children and the ALS community. Brad is survived by his loving wife, Amy Perkson Frith, his daughters Addison and Liberty and his son Henry, all at home. He is also survived by his parents Wesley and Nancy Frith, his three siblings Brinton Frith (Nikki), Whitney Frith and Jennie Frith, his in-laws Howard and Nancy Perkson, his brother-in-law Quinn Perkson, Sister-in-law Carey Perkson, sister-in-law Holly Simpson (Matt), and many adoring nieces and nephews. Brad was a graduate of New Hope-Solebury High School and the Smeal College of Business at Penn State University. He was a dedicated athlete earning 9 varsity letters in basketball, cross country, and tennis. At an early age, Brad demonstrated a natural ability to lead, including as team captain in basketball and cross country. Brad was also voted Best Male Athlete in his graduating class. After college, Brad began working for a national logistics company. Brad was notorious for his vision and determination and quickly partnered with colleagues to start TransNoble Logistics, an intermodal trucking service. With the success of TransNoble, Brad and his partners were able to start a second company DrayNow, forever changing the industry. Through his expertise using technology, Brad mastered his speaking technology Tobii to communicate with speech, text, email, web browsing. Brad was able to continue to communicate when ALS took his ability to speak. Brad was so thankful for the community that united to support him including: Brad's Boardwalk Bunch walks in OCNJ, Philadelphia, Buckingham, and numerous community fundraisers to assist with tremendous home care costs. He was completely overwhelmed by the community support for his family. Brad was blessed with caregivers who worked tirelessly to support his comfort and needs as the disease progressed. Brad found his "Dream Team" this past fall who provided him with so much comfort during the end stages of ALS. Brad was the center of his family's universe. A wonderful husband, full of wit, problem solving and the ultimate life partner. With a shared sense of humor anything was possible. Brad continued to find ways to spend time with his family. When his arms became too weak to drive, he would uber. When his legs became too weak to walk, he would use his wheelchair to "ride" to school with Henry, each on their own wheels. He was so proud of his children and enjoyed all of their activities in person or virtually. He admired Addison's kindness and adventurous spirit, Henry's incredible memory and ability to make friends anywhere, and Liberty's drive and dance moves. Most of all Brad enjoyed the unconditional love surrounding him from his family. Every night he said, "Love You", through his Tobii device. With Brad's passing, the family lost a wonderful father, loving husband, devoted son and brother, and adoring uncle. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Brad's honor to Hope Loves Company, an organization supporting children with loved ones suffering from ALS. Donations in Brad's memory can be made at hopelovescompany.org or mailed to: Hope Loves Company, Inc., P.O. Amy, my deepest sympathy and all the prayers in the world go out to you, your children and extended Family. I am so grateful to have met Brad and get to know him both personally and professionally. His smile and laugh is what I will always remember. He would always laugh or chuckle at most every story I would tell him. The best was when Brad, Craig & I were having a meeting, Craig would be shaking his head and Brad and would begin to laugh. Brad's whit, intelligence and positive outlook on life would always keep things in balance. We all will miss him, but I for one have many memories that I will forever cherish.

Nancy and Wes, We just heard of Brad's passing from Carolyn, and there are no words... We are thinking of you and Brint, Whitney and Jennie. Our memories go back to the late 70's when we returned to Colts Neck and FH Road! Many happy memories from those years when our families became close. Brad and Christy were the same age and they became good friends--he was such a loving child and we know the pain of his loss is all consuming. Know that we are thinking of you and sending prayers. Love, Frank and Susan Baker (along with Christy Grant as I just called her...)

I am so grateful to have met Brad and the Frith Family. Brad was a very intelligent and generous man. He was your rock - strong and rational. Now he is your angel and will guide you as my mom always guides me. I cherish our memories together - games nights, drinks on the driveways, beach walks, therapy for both of us. God blessed you with a super human husband and father. He is remembered and loved.

My thoughts and prayers are with the Frith family. I will never forget time spent with Brad commiserating over our Philly sports teams and laughing uncontrollably about scenes from the movie "Planes, Trains, and Automobiles." He will be missed dearly. God bless!

Hi Frith family, I'm so sorry to hear the passing of Mr. Frith. He was a great man who was taken too soon. I have so many memories with the Aylmer and Frith family spending cherished moments together, from watching sixers games and even going to them together, to going to the beach, to going to the movies. There are countless memories that I will hold dear to me for the rest of my life. I always had a great time going to Philly sports games and watching them, having great, compelling conversations with Mr. Frith about our favorite teams, which I love so much. He will be missed and most of all remembered.

We are thankful to have been part of Brad's life. We send our thoughts and prayers to Brad's family. Brad was the gutsy cross country runner that cheered for his team mates. Brad and I played for the Royals in Little League Baseball. He was obviously one of our best players, but more importantly, his smile was contagious. His smile continues to be the way I remember him. Love you all!

I only lived in New Hope for three years (8th-10th grade) but one of my fondest memories of Brad is sitting in the back seat of his Accord and doing about 60-70 mph down some street in Solebury and flying through an intersection and the car launching into the air with all 4 wheels off the ground. I can still see the smile on Brad's face. He was always courageous like that no fear. I also remember playing basketball in Brad's driveway and swimming in his pool. Seemingly overnight he went from a very good basketball player to being great. He was a gifted athlete but he also worked hard and put his time in. To make matters even more frustrating Brad was also damn smart. It makes complete sense he pursued a complicated field like logistics to focus his time and energy. I wasn't one of Brad's closest friends by any stretch but I'm just so terribly saddened by his passing. I feel fortunate and also a sense of comfort that Brad and I met, even if only for a very short period of time. My thoughts and prayers to his entire family.
