Caitlin N. "Katy" Yakscoe

Caitlin N. Yakscoe "Katy" of Eagleville, passed away peacefully on Sunday August 15, 2021 on the Feast of the Assumption of Our Blessed Mother in her family home. She was 30 years old. Born July 10, 1991 in Philadelphia, she was the beloved daughter of Stephen and Noreen. In addition to her parents, Katy is survived by her siblings: Stephen (Kelly), Christopher, James (Liz), Nora, Eileen, and Kris, maternal grandparents; Thomas and Nora McDaniel, her God daughter Mia and many, many cousins, aunts, uncles and loving friends. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents; George and Carmella Yakscoe. Katy enjoyed singing and dancing. She loved the beach and traveling to see her family and friends. She was wonderful with kids and served as a nanny. Her Goddaughter Mia was the light of her life and Katy treasured their moments together. She loved dogs, especially her pug nephew Juju. She had fabulous taste and was a go-to for fashion advice. Katy was a consummate fighter. She fought for her health, for what she knew was right and for those around her. She was unabashedly herself; she knew who she was, what she wanted and always spoke up. She liked to be in control but wasn't afraid to ask for help. Katy had a way of making each person she came across feel special. She knew how to be present and enjoy the moment. She loved hard and would push those she cared about to be the best versions of themselves. Katy will be terribly missed, but her spirit and light will shine through everyone she left behind. Relatives and friends are invited to share in Katy's Life Celebration on Thursday August 19, from 9 AM to 10:50 AM at Visitation BVM Church 190 N. Trooper Rd. Norristown. Her Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11 AM at the church. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family. Family services are by Boyd-Horrox-Givnish of East Norriton, 610-277-7000.
