We never met Jack and were distanced by 1000's of miles; but your influence through your loving father was so strong and inspiring. I am so glad our paths in this world virtually crossed and your memory with live strong. Rest easy and fly high

Dear Freedman family,
I am so sorry to hear this sad news about Jack. I just remember how much joy Jack brought to us at Unionville High School and how much he loved coming to school! I last saw Jack when he came to a Bocci tournament at the high school almost 2 years ago. I'm sure that you have so many good memories of Jack and I hope that those memories help you through this very difficult time. He will be missed by so many people! Your family will be in my thoughts and prayers. Allison Newbrough

Dear Anne, Al, and Cara- Jack is and always will be a Rock Star in my memory. I loved his smile, sense of humor, tenacity, and willingness to share his story. I am blessed for having had the opportunity to know him and your family and work with you all over the years in supporting technology-assisted children and young adults. Please know my thoughts and prayers are with you all and I wish you peace.

Words seem such frail offerings in this moment, and yet I have so many as I think about Jack and your beautiful family. We met Jack when he was only 2, and have been close ever since. Our children all grew up together at Westtown. I remember Jack patroling the campus, with a "deputy badge" given to him by the security chief, Tom Downey. I remember countless swims in the Westtown pool during family swim hours on Sundays, jack bobbing up and down with his yellow neck floatie. I remember seeing him decades later in that same athletic facility, working for the afterschool program, proudly operating a school computer to support the program. I remember building a deck for a hottub for Jack on the Freedman family home. I remember his excitement going to summer camp. I remember the SMA fundraising day that all the boys on the second floor of the dormitory organized, everyone selling their possessions to raise money. I remember his incredible memory -- how he could tell me the day of the week I was born on, or the exact date he last saw my daughter. But most of all, I remember you all as a family -- the incredible love, and patience, and strength, and care, and creativity, and optimism, and yes, more love. You and he have been one of the most powerful tributes to steadfast love I've ever witnessed. I will miss Jack immensely, as will my family, and I thank God for his presence and transforming spirit. Dear Freedman Family,
I am truly sorry for your loss! I had the honor of teaching Jack in second grade at Sarah W. Starkweather in WCASD. It was the first time we did Teleconferencing in the classroom. Jack was a cheerful, loving, and kind student to his peers. His smile would light up the entire room. Our class had the privilege to meet Jack outside on the playground. I have such dear and fond memories in my heart of Jack. May he rest in peace.
