Allen Aldridge’s legacy
Aldridge played college football for the University of Houston Cougars in his hometown. He was chosen by the Broncos in the second round of the 1994 NFL draft, spending four years with the Denver team. While with the Broncos, he helped his team win Super Bowl XXXII on January 25, 1998. After that victory, Aldridge signed with the Lions, where he played another four seasons, including as the Detroit team’s long snapper. He was briefly signed with the Houston Texans in 2002 before choosing to retire from the NFL.
In 2008, Aldridge became the head football coach at George Bush High School in Richmond, Texas. He continued there for many years, and in 2022, he was nominated as the Houston Texans’ High School Coach of the Week.
