Barrie Youngfellow played Jan Hoffmeyer Gray, a sarcastic waitress who works at a high-end restaurant in Los Angeles on the TV sitcom “It’s a Living.” She was one of four cast members to appear on every episode of the series. “It’s a Living” aired on ABC from 1980-1982 and then as a first run syndication series from 1985 until 1989. Her character on the series was married to Richie Gray, who was played by Richard Kline, best known as Larry on “Three’s Company.” She made guest appearances on “Three’s Company,” “WKRP in Cincinnati,” and “Law & Order.
