Linda Haynes’s legacy
“Rolling Thunder” was often considered Haynes’ best performance; she played barmaid Linda Forchet in the revenge thriller. Haynes was also notable playing a prostitute in the blaxploitation film “Coffy,” and she starred in the prison horror film “Human Experiments.” Additionally, she starred in “The Nickel Ride,” “The Drowning Pool,” and “Brubaker,” as well as in the TV movie “Guyana Tragedy: The Story of Jim Jones.” On TV, Haynes made guest appearances on “Room 222,” “My Three Sons,” and “Paper Moon.”
Haynes disappeared from the acting world in 1980, working as a legal secretary. Her work was later praised by director Quentin Tarantino.
