Peyton Place Actor Ed Nelson Dies

We remember actor Ed Nelson who played Dr. Michael Rossi on television's "Peyton Place."

Television and movie actor Ed Nelson died Aug. 9, 2014, at age 85. Best known forhis portrayal of Dr. Michael Rossi on evening soap opera "Peyton Place," Nelson also played President Harry S. Truman in the national tour of "Give 'Em Hell, Harry." At age 71 Nelson earned completed his college degree at Tulane University in New Orleans, Nelson's hometown. Here's a look at Ed Nelson.

The veteran character actor, who was best known for playing Dr. Michael Rossi on the 1960s primetime soap, died in Greensboro, North Carolina, his daughter-in-law told The New York Times. "Peyton Place,0ddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddd which also starred Ryan Oe28099Neal, Barbara Parkins, and Mia Farrow, enjoyed a lengthy five seasons on ABC, and Nelson appeared on a whopping 436 episodes.
