Willie Spence was a singer from Atlanta, Georgia who finished runner-up on season 19 of the popular reality TV singing competition “American Idol.” He sang the Rihanna song “Diamonds” during his audition to appear on the show. Spence wowed the judges and the audience during the competition singing versions of “A Change Is Gonna Come” by Sam Cooke and Hoagy Carmichael’s “Georgia on My Mind.” He also performed a duet with Katharine McPhee. He finished second behind winner Chayce Beckham.
