Rest in peace Officer Collier. My heartfelt condolences to your family.
Police Officer's Prayer to St. Michael
Saint Michael, heaven's glorious commissioner of police,
who once so neatly and successfully cleared God's premises
of all its undesirables, look with kindly and professional
eyes on your earthly force.
Give us cool heads, stout hearts, and uncanny flair for
investigation and wise judgement.
Make us the terror of burglars, the friend of children and
law-abiding citizens, kind to strangers, polite to bores,
strict with law-breakers and impervious to temptations.
You know, Saint Michael, from your own experiences
with the devil that the police officer's lot on earth is not
always a happy one; but your sense of duty that so
pleased God, your hard knocks that so surprised the
devil, and your angelic self-control give us inspiration.
And when we lay down our night sticks, enroll us in your
heavenly force, where we will be as proud to guard the
throne of God as we have been to guard the city of all
the people. Amen.

My hope is the family finds peace in the words. Officer Collier has joined the elite company of Colliers that have gave all they have for this country. Maybe he has joined the 24 Colliers that gave all they have in the Viet Nam conflict. He could be standing beside Frank Collier Company Cook during World War 1 was once asked " how do you feed all of us then in the middle of the night when the enemy comes over starved for food you still have food for them" that my friends is a family secret. Most likely from the stories I have read Officer Sean Allen Collier is standing beside Great Great Great Grandfather Collier ( Issac Ricks for me ) who drew his sword in a face to face meeting against Napolean during the battle of Waterloo. Letting the leader pass out of respect. Yes I can list them all and Yes now Sean has humbled me. Everytime I flip a switch and a light comes on Everytime I turn a knob and have hot water. EVERYTIME I SEE MY DAUGHTERS FACE it will remind me to never ever forget the greatness that looks upon me and protects me and spells their name COllIER. With all due respect.
