Kelly Griffith Obituary

Kelly Kay (Prothero) Griffith, age 54 of Yuba City, CA passed away peacefully on May 26, 2014. A lifelong resident of the Yuba-Sutter area, she was born November 4, 1959 in Yuba City. She was the youngest of three children born to David and Mary Lou Prothero.

Kelly is survived by her son James E. Griffith of Olivehurst; daughter Aime K. Griffith of Yuba City; brother Danny Prothero of Yuba City; nieces Teri Haase of Yuba City and Christina Prothero of Gainesville, TX; nephews Gregory Prothero of Auburn, CA and Jason Prothero of Gainesville, TX. She is also survived by many great nieces, nephews, friends and her two constant companions Toby and Little Buddy.

She was preceded in death by her parents David and Mary Lou Prothero and older brother, David "Rusty" Prothero.

Kelly was a Nascar and Raider fan. She worked as a custodian at Yuba College until her retirement.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, June 15, 2014 at 3 p.m. at The Church of God of Prophecy, 4257 Fleming Way Olivehurst, CA. Private burial will be in Sierra View Cemetery at a later date.

Donations may be made to the Church of God of Prophecy, P.O. Box 478 Olivehurst, CA 95961 in memory of Kelly Griffith.

to my aunt Kelly....
we were just sitting thinking about the special moments with you I remember when you , Amie and Dave took Jamie camping. why I was working.Jamie was only 3. I never been away from her overnight . Jamie was with you guys for 4 days I trust that all of you but being a mom you still have you worry .when I got there on Friday afternoon my daughter wanted nothing to do with me she was having so much fun with her Aunt Kelly. she was telling me how she brushed her aunt Kelly's hair . aunt Kelly couldn't stop talking about the fun she had with her and thanking me for letting them take her you will truly be missed I love you and I miss you...
