My condolences and prayers to the Schultz family. I too knew Bob from Downstate where I attended the Nursing Program and was a support /make up artist in his outstanding production of Man of La Mancha. We still talk about it to this day....he not only personified the wondrous qualities of Sancho, but he was able to bring out the best in all of us and the production was beyond what anyone expected!.
It is a testament to the kind of man he was that I can remember him so clearly and so kindly after so many years. I will always think of him with a smile and I will always thank him for helping me believe, to this day, that there is magic and goodness in every day things.
Through your tears and your pain, please know that he was a rare individual and he really did leave the world a better place.
Rest easy, Bob.

I've only just heard about Dr. Schultz passing since I've moved across the country a couple years ago. He was an amazing physician and inspiration to this patient of 17 years. He's one of the many reasons I would like to get into medicine. My condolences to his family friends.

I am a graduate of SUNY Downstate and met Bob Schultz when I auditioned, and got a role in one of the theatrical presentations he produced there in 1973 (Man of La Mancha) I was a 1st year medical student at the time. For what short time I knew him, he seemed a very dedicated, energetic, and devoted individual, with great passion for theater, and music. I am sure this carried over into his professional and personal life as well.
Condolences to his family.
