Where do I begin? We were friends for 60 years starting when I was 10, Rose was 8. We grew up together on Tupelo St. and shared a wonderful, safe, loving childhood. We went to Fernandina Beach Fla. for summer vactions together and to the mountains in Highlands NC. Rose went with me often to visit my relatives in Valdosta Ga. We learned to skate together, we ushered at the Atlanta theather, typed license plate applications in the basement of the Capital building, went on "adventures" with "Elizabeth" my 47 Ford coupe. We painted together. We went in totally diffent directions as adults: I as a mom of three. now a grandmom of 8. Rose a wonderful artist, a career gal with her own interior decorating business. Our last trip together, May 2007, was returning to one of our favorite places . . .the mountains. It was a bitter sweet trip because we both knew what lay ahead. How blessed I have been to have had you, Rose, for my friend.

I will miss my aunt Rosemary so much. As I grew into a young woman, Sharon, Rosemary and I always had a dream to take a wild vacation somewhere real expensive and spend all the money we didn't have. It seems silly to those who read this, but it means so much to me now. I miss her very much. I will remember her beauty and her sense of humor. I bet she is with her best friend Jack right now. I will miss her terribly. Love Kasi

Rosemary brought color into our lives. We are the beneficiaries of her talent and her impeccable taste, and everywhere I look in our home I'm reminded of her. Direct, honest, and wonderfully funny, she didn't mince words, laughed often, and faced personal challenges with courage and determination. In her professional category she was our decorator. In her personal life, she was an example to be respected.

Rooster...what a fun person. In my memory’s ear I can still hear you sing out the Kookaburra song from the back of the school bus. My sympathy to your family for their loss.

Rosemary was my dearest friend in the later part of her life. She adopted my family when we decided she was our designer for life. She will be deeply missed, we cherished her friendship. I particularly enjoyed reading everyones messages. I wished I knew she was "rooster", what a perfect name for her.

This news is really a hard punch in the gut. I was not aware of her illness, and had looked forward to seeing her again at our upcoming high school reunion. I will always remember the surprise birthday party she threw for me during our senior year. What a wonderful friend. What a loss.

My wonderful friend of 39 years. I will miss her greatly, We talked about all subjects and played so many, many games over cocktails. She was the 'Godmother' of my grandchild, and I'm so sorry Taylor is not going to reap the benefit of knowing her.

To the Family of Rosemary,
I am so sorry for your loss. Rosemary and I were friends for many, many years growing up in East Lake. We walked into Murphy High together our very first day there. That was the day her nickname of "Rooster" started. The football players thought her soft blond curly hair looked like feathers and so named her "Rooster". She hated it then and probably always did...but to us, it just meant "our friend".
I will miss her.
Love,

I met Rosemary in 1980 & had a wonderful friendship with her for 28 years. I worked for her in 1984 at Vaccaro Designs & what a great experience that was. She was so talented in so many ways & there is a terrible void without her, but I know we will be together again Foxie

So sorry to hear of Rosemary's passing. My first memory of her at East Lake Elementary was when she would sing for us. We later attended Murphy High together. I extend my condolences to her family and friends.
