John, Thank you for being a true friend to me. You gave me some great advice about what to use on my skin. I am grateful for the skin products you gave me. They are definitely being used. I really admire and honor your work as a Consulting Pathologist and Medical Educator at the V.A. Hospital. While I didn't know you very well, you will be missed very much. Sincerely Your Friend, Ken

John, Thank you for your thoughtfulness in giving me those skin care samples. I also know you and your brother had fun "gophing" for lost golf balls, a unique hobby. You mentioned that this was good exercise as well. After you and Herb amassed a large collection, you decided to donate those balls to the resident golfers of the Shadows. Your imagination, good humor and generosity will be well remembered.

John, I love you and miss you so much, but I feel your spiritual presence around me (especially at night). I know you are resting in peace. You are on that higher plane now to which we all hope to ascend. You are now with God and bask in His Light. All my love forever. Your Baby Brother, Herb

Dr. Kwittken,
It's hard to realize that you will never walk thru that door at work and say Hello and ask how the family is doing. For the past 6 years that I have worked for you in the Path Department I will miss hearing about how you come in the office and panic when I wasn't sitting at my desk to type your diagnoses and you would have to go down the hall to have PITA do it for you. I will miss hearing about how you made a good size donation to the local indian casinos and how they always opened the door for you with a smile on their face and saying welcome. I will truely miss how you were so set in your routine and hated it when things came up that were not part of your routine and you would have me take care of it for you. I truly enjoyed working for you. I don't know how you got through the 6 weeks that I was out on maternity leave but just coming back to work after that 6 weeks was a happy moment for me, especially seeing your face light up to see me back and knowing your routine was back to normal. I will miss you very much.
