Terry Westergard Obituary
passed away March 16, 2015 in Surprise, Arizona. He was born March 28, 1942 in Omaha, Nebraska. Terry graduated from Central High School in Omaha and attended Arizona State University. He served in the U.S. Army at NATO Headquarters outside of Paris, France. Terry was married to the love of his life, Cheri, for 51 years. Terry, worked for Valley National Bank for 20 years. He retired in 2008 as the Compensation and Benefits Manager for Lockheed Martin Technical Defense Systems. He was a family man that enjoyed spending time outdoors with his family and friends - hunting, fishing, camping, playing golf. If you were Terry's friend, you had a friend for life. He lived life to the fullest. He is survived by his wife Cheri, sons Michael (Mary) and Kevin (Lori), 3 grandchildren, Austin, Abby and Wyatt, his sister Trudy Tanita (Tom), nephew Shane, and countless friends. Preceded in death by his parents, Ivan and Lorene. Memorial Services will be held on Sunday, March 22, 2015 at 1:00 PM, Abel Funeral Home, 1627 N. 51st Ave, Phoenix, Arizona. In lieu of flowers, donations to Hospice of the Valley would be appreciated.

Terry, and I worked together as a team at Valley National Bank for 11 years, he was the Benefit Manger, and I was Salary Administration Manger at the beginning of our time together, Later on I assumed the position of Compensation Manger, and before I left Terry took over Salary Administration--we had a wonderful time working as a team--On Fridays a few of us would to for our cocktail hour--we did that over the ll years, and continue even after I left the Bank--Terry and I also worked together while he was employed by by Loral Systems--he engaged me as a Consultant--our friendship was lasting--I think of him often--my good friend, I know we shall meet again--GOD will bring us together.

Cheri, Mike, and Kevin, I am so sorry Terry (I called him West) was a very Dear, Friend, having him in our lives, was a blessing from GOD, and now GOD will be rewarding him in his Kingdom, and GOD'S blessing be with you, and know that as I go to Mass each Day Terry, and all of you will be in my prayers.
