Stephen Cheuvront Obituary

Stephen Emory Cheuvront of Chestertown, MD, passed away on Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at University of Maryland Shore Medical Center at Chestertown. He was 71. Born on January 29, 1947 in Baltimore, MD, he was the son of the late Charles and Stephanie Ulrich Cheuvront. He graduated from Woodlawn High School, class of 1961, attended Union College for his undergraduate degree and later graduated from Duke University, receiving a Master's degree in Physics. Mr. Cheuvront began his career at NASA for five years, before working with Computer Science Corporation where he worked for forty years. On April 13, 1985, he married Beatrice Caudell and they lived happily for thirty-three years. In 2013, they moved to Chestertown where they built their dream home. Mr. Cheuvront was a member of the Ma & Pa Model Railroading Club. He enjoyed model railroads, liked watching the Orioles, Duke Basketball and the Ravens (when they are winning). He's always been supportive of his wife and children's many endeavors. In addition to his wife of 33 years, he is survived by two daughters, Stephanie Cheuvront Wright and Wesley of Indianapolis, IN, and Jessica Elizabeth Cheuvront of Chestertown, MD, and a cousin, Bette Mayer of Lewis, DE. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 26, 2018 at 12:00 noon at Fellows, Helfenbein & Newnam Funeral Home, 130 Speer Road, Chestertown, MD, where relatives and friends may call two hours prior (10-12). Interment will be in Chester Cemetery, following the service.
