Betty Gardner Obituary

Betty Jo Gardner, 83, of Woodville, passed away, Saturday, March 5, 2011 at her residence. Graveside services will be Tuesday, March 8th at 3:00 p.m. at Campground Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday, March 7th from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Betty was born June 28, 1927 to Harris Ray & Vera Della Weeks Pope in Woodville, Texas. She was a lifelong resident of Tyler County and was the retired Office Manager of J.E. Gardner Oil. Her family was the most important thing to her. She loved to hunt and was an avid bowler as well as bridge player. She also enjoyed painting and sewing. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Gardner in 1999. She is survived by her daughters, Ladonna Gardner of Tulsa, OK and Lisa Fortenberry & husband, Otis of Woodville; grandson, Thomas Donald Fortenberry & wife, Marivel of Woodville; granddaughter, Tena Greer & husband, Tony of Woodville; great grandchildren, Tyler Greer, Trevor Greer, Taylor Greer, Tara Greer, Hailey Boots and Kylie Fortenberry. Memorials may be made to Campground Cemetery Fund.
