Dorothy Bowser Obituary

Dorothy J. Bowser, 83, of Butler passed away, Friday, Jan. 29, 2021, at her home.

Born Jan. 30, 1937, in Butler, she was a daughter of the late Leroy E. Bowser and Mildred L. (Wolfe) Bowser.

Dorothy had worked as a switchboard operator for the Butler Area School District, and previously worked for Dr. Fleming in Butler for many years.

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church.

Surviving are her sisters, Shirley Vanburen of Gaithersburg, Md., and Helen (Robert) Kalan of Mars; and several nieces and nephews.

BOWSER - Private burial for Dorothy J. Bowser, who died Friday, Jan. 29, 2021, was held in Rose Hill Cemetery.

Arrangements were handled by Geibel Funeral Home, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler.

Dorothy was a life-long and treasured friend of our family. She was also for many years a loyal, dedicated, conscientious and hard-working assistant to our father, Dr. William Fleming, in his otolaryngology practice. She was a kind, unselfish and giving person who we shall always remember.
