June Sabina Obituary
She was the beloved wife of Michael I. Sabina for 50 years.
Born and raised in Brockton, she was the daughter of the late Rena and Ken Crowley. She graduated from Brockton High School, class of 1954, and earned her B.A. in Education from Bridgewater State College.
Mrs. Sabina was employed by Brockton public schools for 25 years. She started her career at St. Colman's Elementary School and retired from Ashfield Elementary School in 1997.
She will be remembered for her sense of humor, lifelong friendships, creativity, her competitive spirit and the care she gave to relatives and friends. She cherished her family and enjoyed sports, traveling, dancing and scrabble.
She is the loving mother of Valerie (Brian) Hewitt of Braintree, Vicki (Paul) Crossen of Harwich, Doreen (Beau) Halton of Neptune Beach, Fla. and Michael (Jenny) Sabina of Redwood City, Calif.; proud grandmother of Brian and Kaley Hewitt, Tyler, Michaela, Madisun Crossen, Ellis Halton and Milo Sabina; sister of Patricia Rix of West Bridgewater and sister of the late Thomas Crowley.
Calling hours will be held on Sunday, June 22, from 3 to 7 p.m., at the Morris & O'Connor Funeral Home, 58 Long Pond Drive, South Yarmouth. A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, June 23, at 10 a.m., at Our Lady of the Highway, Route 28, South Yarmouth. Interment will follow in Woodside Cemetery, Yarmouthport.

Freshman year in college, June used to pick me up. Some days I'd have to skip because I was facing what June's children have been dealing with. By all reports from Cookie and Betty her family have been incredible. I was so fortunate to have visited with her last September when I was there. We had breakfast with Betty and laughed about grandchildren. How she loved them! She was such a sweet sweet person. My condolences to you all.
