DENNIS - John F.X. ''Jack” Maloney, 65 years old, of Dennis, formerly of Attleboro, passed away on Aug. 14, 2007, after a long and courageous battle with Parkinson's disease.

He was the beloved son of the late Margaret and John Maloney of Belmont; adored husband of Trude (Beauchamp) Maloney; devoted father of Amy B. Maloney of Yarmouthport, and father-in-law of Charles E. Hermann of Attleboro; loving grandfather of Greer T. Hermann of Yarmouthport; dear brother of William and brother-in-law of Marie Maloney of Reading; and loved nephew of Barbara and Robert Stevens of South Yarmouth. He is also survived by loving nieces, cousins, and friends.

Jack grew up in Cambridge and received a Bachelor of Science degree in elementary education from Boston State College and Master in Education degree in reading from Rhode Island College. He was a retired reading resource teacher in the Attleboro public school system.

His leisure time was spent reading, book collecting, fishing, and spending time at his beach home in Marshfield with his family and friends. He was a sports enthusiast with a tremendous love for the Red Sox. Most of all his fabulous sense of humor and enjoyable jokes touched so many.

A memorial Mass will be held at St. John the Evangelist Church, 133 N. Main St., Attleboro, at 11 a.m., on Monday, Aug. 27, 2007. Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to Attleboro Public Schools: Books - Attn: Superintendent Office, 100 Rathburn Willard Drive, Attleboro, MA 02703.

Trude
Our deepest sympathy to you and Amybeth. I (Marilyn) remembers that Jack was ill for a long time. That doesn't make it any easier, does it? Carol Rapoza told me of Jack's death and we wanted you to know that we are thinking of you and praying for you and your family.
Our love & God's blessing,

Mark
