Dear Sis -
Henny and I have been thinking about you since you were here. Joe was such a very special man and you were so lucky to have him for the years that you did. I, Ellen, especially had fond feelings for him. We know you will be fine. You are a strong person and you will have wonderful memories. We are here for you if you ever need us.
Love Henny and Ellen

Dear Evie
We are so sad to hear about Joe.
He gave so much happiness to everyone he met. He will be missed by many. We will never forget the good times we have shared with you and Joe. I have missed exchanging Christmas cards with you, never realized you had moved to Florida. We hope you are well and doing the best you can at this difficult time. We are so sorry for your loss. May all your wonderful memories of Joe sustain you. Our thoughts are with you and your family.
With sympathy,

Evie and Family.. My deepest sympathy...I will never forget the love and kindness that Joe showed to my husband during the long time that he was sick. Joe showed his true colors as a great friend and a great human being, always finding the time to help, to visit, to talk, when everyone else began to drift away over the years. He never forgot and always stood by us. The world will not see another man like him for a long time and I join the many others who will miss him. I know that he had an impact on the lives of so many people and I will be eternally grateful for the impact that he had on mine.

To Aunt Sissy: My deepest, deepest
sympathies are with you. I loved Uncle Joe with all my heart. He made every kid on daddy's side seem like each of us were his favorite niece or nephew!! He always made us laugh & you guys always welcomed us into your home with open arms. Some of my best memories are visits up to the Cape. I hate so much that the great people in the world have to suffer. The only solice I have today is that Uncle Joe is in heaven with Daddy, Eddie and his mom. Our prayers are with you every day, and if you never want to get away & just be with family, you are always welcome to Columbus, Ga. anytime! I love you! May God bless you & wrap his loving arms around you during this time of grief. Love Always- "Evie Jr" (Peanuts)

To Uncle Joe,
You were one of the most liveliest men in the world and just being around you and Aunt Sissy was pure joy. Even though our visits were very few and far between, you had a permanent place in our hearts and lives, each and every one of Danny and Junie's kids. You made an everlasting impression on us and your presence will be sorely missed. However, your memory will live on as long as there is a bocci ball game, major gourmet cookout (especially w/ homemade bleu cheese dressing) or a homemade port-a-potty in the shed to avoid an overflowing septic tank around.
I love you Uncle Joe. I am sorry you didn't get to meet my girls. They would love you as much as I do. But we will get Aunt Sissy together with them and tell them your stories.
Say Hello to Daddy and Eddie for me. I know y'all will raise cane up in Heaven.

I first met Joe when I was a young man living on Lexington St in Newton and he was a good friend. He will be remembered as a police officer that went the extra mile to help some one either on or off the job. I worked with Joe on the Newton Police until he joined the Mass State Police.
Our prayers are with his family.

I have many fond memories from my childhood of Joe. He will be missed by many, but is finally out of pain and in peace. Too many from the Brocklesby line in heaven, hope they don't raise too much of a ruckus and the rest of us can't get in when it's our time.
