Dear Mrs. Edith and family, Joel and I were very sorry to hear of Mr. Ed's passing. May our Lord bring you much grace and peace during this sad time in your life. I came to live with Major Mae when I was 15 yrs. old. We became mother and daughter right off. Through living with her I came to know so many men and women on the S.A. board. Mr. Ed and Mr. Harvy Hamrick reached out to me more than the rest, I guess. I was invited by my mama Mae to your beach house every year but I never did get to go. You have, as did Ed, a servant's heart. You and the family will be in our thoughts and prayers
