My heart goes out to the Armbrust family during this sad time. I have known this wonderful Armbrust family all of my life. As a little girl, I loved riding horses and ponies with Rich. How could you not have a huge crush on Dave and Steve? I loved playing with little Mikey and Mary and playing volleyball with Mrs. Armbrust and the other Doyle sisters. Those beautiful sisters Jan and Carol, I always wanted to be as pretty as they were and still are. I truly enjoyed seeing Mr. Armbrust smile and listening to his heartwarming, joyful and wonderful stories. I truly cannot remember not seeing a smile on Mr. Armbrust’s face. The Armbrust family has always been large part of the Wiesbrock Family. Now Mr. Armbrust is with my Dad guiding us and watching over us all.
Someday I will see your wonderful smile at the Pearly Gates Mr. Armbrust as you welcome me home to heaven with my Dad. Thank you for the great memories. Love you so! Judy

Dear Vada and family,
We just learned of Art's passing from Harold Gaede this morning. We've all lost a tremendous human being. Our dad always thought the world of Art and even though we seldom got to be with him personally, it almost seemed like we knew him well through mom and dad's stories. I guess the three of them are all re-united now in a 'better' place.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
Sincerely, Kim, Kal, Jean, Jane Kletschke and families.

Dear Armbrusts All -
I'm sure the condolences will continue to cascade in from near and far - as they should - for this angel, husband, hero, father, icon, grandpa. A remarkable person whose leaving leaves us all so sad.
But, I can't help but think how lucky you all are because he was yours. We may have known him but you had him and he had you....in a way none of us knew.
And that special privilege and its consequences never goes away. It merely grows and grows and grows. You are so blessed and Art is so grateful.

May the Angels conduct thee into Paradise, Art. I've always enjoyed stopping at the shop, from Clarence on, to see how things were going,
whenever I came in from San Francisco.
I hope to continue stopping in. May the Peace of Christ be with you, Art, and with your beautiful family.

The Armbrusts were my second family when I was growing up on Elm St.
Art and my father were best of friends and were always up to something together. Whether it be writing and publishing a book or campaigning for something political. I have always had the greatest respect and admiration for these two great men and fine influences on my life. Art truly exemplified the greatest generation ever. Art was also one of the greatest story tellers ever and I would hang onto every word as a child.(Lake Kegonsa's Walleye Alley.) He may have also been a great influence as to why I got into sales ...I think I use some of his stories even today, ever so slightly altered & embellished to fit the situation, just as he'd have coached me. Why is it I picture Art entering the Pearly Gates being announced by Ed McMahon, "Herrrre's Arty!" accompanied by Farah & MJ. Art would say "Look who I brought with me." Only he would mispronounce their names ...or get them wrong all together. I will miss Art as I miss my own father. Yet, I know they are now together sharing stories and probably drinking a whitey while planning only God knows what(literally). I'm sure the two of them are providing quite a bit of entertainment in Heaven ...Let's pray that they don't wear out their welcome.

I only had the pleasure of meeting Art once. But I do know that his son-in-law, Dan Doody, always spoke of him and his own father as his two "Heros." From all of Dan's stories, clearly, Art Armbrust was a remarkable man and one dearly loved by his family and friends.
Our prayers are with him and his wife, children, grandchildren and extended family. May the Lord welcome him to Heaven with open arms.

I met Art at my restaurant, Manhattan's. He knew my mother Marcella Muehlfelt and always commented how much I look like her.
He came in had a quick bowl of soup often and I always sat with him and chatted about life in his day and today. A good man who touched my life and I will miss him.
Sincerely

What a pleasure, joy and honor to call Mr. Armbrust and his lovely family dear friends. He was always a such pleasure to see and be around. He was always smiling and telling stories. His favorite one to share was the one of when Rich and I were nine years old driving a truck at the old Wheaton farm. I was steering barely able to see over the steering wheel, Rich was sitting right beside me running the gas and brake. Mr. Armbrust was driving toward us and Rich and I waved and smiled as we continued driving by as if nothing was wrong. Mr. Armbrust will be sadly missed, yet his amazing legacy will carry on and be always remembered. Thank you for all your love and our thoughts are with the family always.

When my Nephew Matt Wiesbrock called me Thursday to tell me that Art had passed away, My wife (Merry May Pabst Scott) and I were quite saddened to learn this, and our prayers are with Vada and their 7 children.
Having first met Art back in '45, he never seemed to lose his identity of a gentleman.
Living in Tennessee, the last time I saw Art was when he Eulogized my brother-in-Law Ed Wiesbrock back in '98.
Our prayers and thoughts are with you Vada, along with your children.
