Clara M. Burton

Clara M. Burton, age 92, of Circleville, died peacefully Saturday, February 13, 2016 at her home. Although she was asleep, she was the guest of honor on Friday evening as our family celebrated her love and life as she readied herself to make her final journey. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Dr. Robert L. Burton and will be greatly missed by her remaining family which includes Diane Adkins of Dublin and her children Shannon Adkins, Kirsten Adkins, and Ryan (Danielle) Adkins; Linda Burton (formerly Wills, then Stevens) and her children Cindy (Lonnie) Smith, and Ben Wills; Cheryl (Mark) Bogen of Lebanon and their children Scott Bogen and Dr. Kimberly (Craig) Russell. Clara also adored her six great grandchildren: Sabre' and Harlowe Adkins, Brandon and Jackson Smith, and Poppy and Alfie Russell. Clara was active in various community services, loved to play golf and bridge, was a fabulous cook, and was the quintessential seamstress and crafter. She was a member of the Buckeye Cremation Society. A private scattering service will take place at a later date; there will be no calling hours.
