Sandra,
Duane and I offer our deepest sympathy to you, Carter, your grandmother and to all that are struggling with this great loss.
My heart is heavy! My words are few and the depth of my sympathy cannot be expressed adequately enough. If I'm feeling this way, I know the pain you and your family are feeling is immeasurable.
As, you know, I affectionately called your mom, Mama P and everytime I look at her picture, I am in disbelief. Sandra, surrender your pain to God and I pray that you find peace and comfort in knowing your mom is now resting in a peace that we know nothing about. Rest easy Mama P, the laughter we shared will always remain in my heart. Sandra you are constantly in my prayers. I love you!

My sympathies to the family. I went to Zion Lutheran School with Portia where she and I were the best of friends. We then both continued on to Harding High. I just found out about her death from a friend in Connecticut this morning.

Portia was such a fun person-I guess the last time I saw her was at one of our high school reunions where we once again shared many a laugh.

May you find peace and comfort in the many memories you all have shared with her.
