James H. "Jim" Kelty Jr.

James 'Jim' H. Kelty Jr. Schenectady James Jim H. Kelty Jr., 77, of Schenectady, formerly of Albany, NY, entered into eternal peace at his home in Schenectady on Friday, January 30, 2015, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Albany on October 16, 1937, and was the son of the late James Sr. and Olive Livsey Kelty. He was the loving and devoted husband for 55 years of Andrea Curtis Kelty. He is also survived by their children, Donna (Jay) Defillippo, James Kelty III, Mrs. Thomasina Wilson (Mike), Mrs. Mary Westervelt (Tom), John Kelty (Shirley) and Charles Kelty. He is also survived by his sisters, Marion Glasser, Sara Dessereau (Ed) and Deborah Spath (Frank); 15 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Jim was an auto mechanic in the Capital District for many years and retired at Quick Response of Clifton Park. He enjoyed camping, woodworking and remodeling his home, but the passion in his life was always his loving family. The funeral service for Jim will be held on Tuesday afternoon, February 3, 2015 at 2 p.m. at the Daly Funeral Home, Inc., 242 McClellan St., Schenectady. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 12 noon to 2 p.m. Followed with his interment at Memory Gardens Cemetery, Colonie, NY.
