EILEEN S. STOCK

Eileen S. Stock Eileen S. Stock was born in Chisholm, MN, December 4, 1917. She was the Beloved Wife for 49 years to John P. Stock Jr. (deceased 1992); Loving Mother of John P. Stock, III of Wheaton, Stephen Stock of San Diego, CA, and Barbara Stock Dunn of Los Angeles, CA; Beloved Daughter of Mary and Stephen Stonich (deceased); Fond Grandmother of Bradley Stock, Elizabeth Stock, Brandon Stock and Logan Dunn; Dear Sister of Stephen Stonich (deceased) and Raphael Stonich; Fond Aunt of Deborah Stonich, Tom Stonich and Mark Stonich. Eileen was a graduate of Northwestern University, Class of 1938, a member of Alpha Omicron Pi Sorority. She was a Music Teacher in the Madison, WI public school system. For 49 years, from 1952 to 2001, she loved her home and living in the Denburn Woods neighborhood of Downers Grove, for its natural beauty and the sixty years of close friendships it afforded. From 2001-Present she was a resident of The Devonshire and Westbury Care Center, Lisle. Eileen enjoyed the arts, especially music, played piano beautifully, loved to travel, especially on cruises, and reading historical biographies. But mostly, she loved people, and they loved her. She was a consummate entertainer, a wonderful cook and homemaker, and a beloved mother and friend. Eileen was generous with her time, volunteering at Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove, and at the Society of St. Vincent DePaul She was a devout Catholic and parishioner of St. Joseph Church in Downers Grove for over fifty years, and in later years, St. Joan of Arc in Lisle. Funeral Tuesday, June 25th, 2013 at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church in Lisle, with visitation from 10:15 a.m. until the time of Funeral Mass at 11:15 a.m. Interment is private in Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Hillside.
