To The Family,
I purchased a print of Ms. Duplessis from a Hidden Treasure store in Charlotte, NC. I researched the artist and learned a lot about the talented Ms. Duplessis. Her legacy will live forever! I am looking forward to reading her book and hope that I can locate a copy. What an inspiration!

Dear Errol and family, my deepest sympathies on the loss of your wife and mother. She was a beautiful woman and a gifted artist. I am saddened by her passing. I surely miss Laurel...my Soror and my friend. Our friendship began when we moved to Hampton in the early 1990's. We vended together and we worked on various Delta committees together. She was always the voice of reason and was truly committed. I am grateful to have met Laurel and to possess several of her prints, notecards and her publications. If she touched me and my family I know her children, Erroll and her sisters have many more wonderful memories. Keep her close to your hearts through her artwork and your memories.

My mother was blessed to have Laurel as a friend and soror and our family was comforted by the tribute she offered at my mother's homegoing celebration. As you celebrate her life, love and laughter, know that her words and work blessed many who hold her and her family in their hearts during this time.
Blessings,
