Family-Placed Obituary

RIDDELL, Donald L. age 71, of Germantown, OH, passed away Monday April 3, 2006. Donald was born in Franklin, OH on March 11, 1935, to the late Park and Audrey (Pittman) Riddell. He retired from Foreman Hardware in Farmersville, OH, with more than 30 years of service. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles #2292. Don was an avid fisherman and hunter; and enjoyed an occasional round of golf. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 4 sisters, Aleen McPherson, Brenda Weaver, Judy Mallicoat and Carolyn Lane; 5 brothers, Randy, Earl, Glen, Robert and Orville Riddell. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Mary B. (Miller) Riddell; his son Jay Riddell of Middletown, OH; his daughter Dawn Riddell of Germantown, OH; 3 grandchildren, Nicole Collier of Miamisburg, OH, Sarah Riddell of Alaska and Brian Riddell of Middletown, OH; a great-granddaughter, Leah Collier; his sister, Ala Vaughn of Miamisburg, OH; 2 brothers, Joe (Betty) Riddell of Miamisburg, OH and Jim (Rosetta) Riddell of West Carrollton. Friends may call 10-11 a.m. Thursday (1 hour prior to the Service) at the Dalton Funeral Home, Corner of State Route 4 & Weaver Rd., Germantown, where the Funeral Service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday with Pastor Ted Ricci officiating. Burial Highland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions may be made to the Germantown Rescue Squad or to the Farmersville Fire & Rescue Squad.
