Ned was a very quiet, kind hearted man that we saw from time to time at family gatherings. His calm voice and mannerism always made speaking with him about any subject relaxing. Nancy, Josh , Joanie and Jennifer ours hearts are heavy and our love and prayers go out to you during this difficult time. May God be with you and guide you to a place of acceptance, and the strength to live life with Ned always in your thoughts. Be happy for he is truly at peace and may you always live life surrounded by the fond memories of him. God bless and God speed. The Bailey Family, Steve, Sharon, Nichole and Erika

Ned was a legend in Crop Protection sales, he enjoyed selling and had fun selling for 42 years with DuPont. He is one of those rare few who could sell snow to eskimos! I learnt a lot from Ned and I am always grateful for his friendship, support and rich contributions to DuPont. May his soul rest in peace.

Dear Nancy, Josh, Jennifer,Joni and Family..
Lesley and I share your loss of a good man. I have known Ned since our Shell Chemical days and have always admired him for sharing his wisdom and encouragement to our group. While others see him with his quiet demeanor which hid his skills at selling, developing personal relationships. When he spoke and shared ideas, it often resonated as it came from experience and conviction that gained him wide respect from the people he meets and did business and won many awards for doing great work. A work ethic to be emulated.
Even in our early retirement, I have called him for some ideas on marketing and he always provides great advise.
I am sure he would have loved to continue to work with farmers and nurtured his grandchildren with dedication.
Reps like Ned are not made anymore. Take care.

Aloke and I have been your neighbors for 10 years and have come to regard you and Ned as family. He was one of the kindest pesons we know. His garden was his passion and so was the green grass of his lawn that he maintained with such meticulous care. We feel that we have lost a father figure and will forever cherish our memories of him. We offer our deepest condolences to you. He is at peace with God.

My sincerest condolences to the McIlvaine family. I am a fellow DuPont rep in NC that knew Ned for many years. I have always held him in the highest regard, and always viewed him as being a man of integrity. Ned was widely respected throughout our organization, and will be sorely missed.
May God comfort you, cradle you in His loving arms and bless you as you go through this difficult time.

to Ned families: I am so very sorry for your lost and offer my sincere condolences. Ned and I grew up as neighbors; our parents farms were next to each other. Ned was always kind and sweet to this younger tom"boy". He was a good friend to my brother Jack and I appreciate that. May your loving and fun memories help heal your hearts and know his spirit is with you. You were so blessed to have this wonderful husband and father in your life and know the blessing was returned to him by all your love and support.
I am traveling and sorry to miss his service; but know I am praying for all of you. God Bless; and the sun will shine again with His love.
