Howard Purnell Obituary
SALISBURY — Howard Bryant "Scola" Purnell III, 31, died Friday, June 1, 2012, at Peninsula Regional Medical Center. Born in Baltimore, he was a son of Howard B. (Jessica) Purnell Jr. and Jacqueline A. (Tony) Parker, both of Salisbury.
"Whimpy," as he was affectionately known by family, was an aspiring artist.
In addition to his parents and stepparents, loving memories will be cherished by four sons, Jabrie Purnell and Makai Purnell, both of Baltimore, and Syncere Purnell and Zachari MacIntosh, both of Salisbury; six brothers, Devell Morgan, Shaun Evans, Jamall Purnell and Aaron Myrick, all of Salisbury, Antonio Parker of Hampton, Va., and Ronnie Stallings Jr. of Baltimore; four sisters, Tasha Dykes, Ja-Nia Purnell and Cheyanne Purnell, all of Salisbury, and Michelle Banks of Easton; his fiancé, Eboni Deale of Salisbury; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.
He has been preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Samuel and Ida Rea Butler; his paternal grandmother, Nellie Purnell; one aunt, Jannie Richardson; and two brothers, Jaleel Purnell and Antoine Parker.
He will lie in repose Saturday from 10-11 a.m. at Powerhouse Church of God In Christ on Mineola Avenue and Powhattan Boulevard in Salisbury. The funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. Interment will be in Green Acres Memorial Park Inc. in Salisbury. A ministry of comfort and dignity is being provided by Lewis N.
