Frances Marlene Harper

Frances Marlene Harper, 87, passed away peacefully at her home in Denton, Texas on Saturday, March 13, 2021. She was born on November 7, 1933 in Sanger, Texas but was a lifetime resident of Denton. She is survived by her husband of 69 years Kenneth Harper of Denton, son Randy Harper of Denton; daughter and son-in-law Cheryl and Chuck Bailey of Mt. Pleasant; grandsons Craig Bailey and fiancé Angela Escoto of Mt. Pleasant and Carter and Kami Bailey of Austin.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Alyne Grimes, her father James Byron Harper and her little brother James Allen Harper.

She was a devoted homemaker, wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed spending time with her family and working in her yard.

The family would like to extend a special appreciation and thank you to the loving care and attention by her dedicated caregivers Marva Cochran, Lisa Long, Sharon Mosely, and Cynthia Sweet and to the staff at Trio Hospice.

There will be no formal visitation, but a public viewing is available at Mulkey-Bowles-Montgomery Funeral Home throughout the day on Monday. A private family graveside will be held Tuesday at Roselawn Cemetery.

She was a member of Denton Bible Church.
