Elsie Rude Obituary

Our darling mother, Elsie C (Stoppel) Rude passed into eternal life Feb 7, 2017 in Lakewood CO. Born March 27, 1924 in Bunker Hill KS to Christian Stoppel & Clara Hilgenberg Stoppel. Living on her own to the very end, she taught us all of life's good lessons with love & energy. Dancing, sewing, & family game days were among her favorite activities. Survived by daughters, Sherry (Buck) Anderson, Cynthia (Randy) Katz, Tobi (Rick) Murray, grandchildren Joyce (Mike) Ruddy, Kirk (Sara) Anderson, Matthew (Beth) Anderson, (Kelly) widow of Tim Archuleta, Susan (Kerry) Larson, Joshua Katz, Alexander Katz, great grand children Adrian Houk, Sabrina Vargas, Dakota Archuleta, Eleanor Anderson, Izzy Anderson, Colton Archuleta, Stella Anderson, Kenzie Larson, Addy Larson, half-brother Chris Stoppel. Preceded in death by grandson Timothy Archuleta, two former husbands Fred Keller & Calvin Rude, parents, siblings Maria Funk, Carl Stoppel, Adam Stoppel, Edwin Stoppel, half-siblings Ann Lantz, Dorothy Welbourne, Elaine Stithem, & Barbara Tanuis. In lieu of flowers, please donate to charity of choice.
