In 1953, he moved to Colorado and was a dentist in private practice in Wheatridge until he retired in 1987. In retirement, he played the cello with the Broomfield Civic Orchestra, was a CSU Master Gardener dedicated to his garden, and enjoyed travel and time with his family.
