Jacqueline Biber, age 89, died of Covid-19 on April 24, 2020 in Rockville, MD. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Sheldon; by her sons Binyamin, Aaron, William, & David, as well as her daughters-in-law Catherine, Nancy, & Kathleen; by her brothers Richard & Dennis as well as her sisters-in-law Lois, Sandy, & Jan; by her seven nieces & nephews; as well as her eight grandchildren. Jacque had been living & receiving nursing care at the Hebrew Home near Silver Spring, MD where she & Sheldon moved to be near Ben & his wife Catherine Sheehy, and where shiva was observed & memories were shared. Jacqueline Lucille Koskovick was born on May 8, 1930 in Hancock, MN, lived most of her life in Des Moines, with a few years in IL & TN (where she started a Jewish congregation & school), as well as her final decade in MD, just outside DC. In Des Moines, Jacque worked for much of her life as an office manager. She was an active member of Temple B'nai Jeshurun, where she also taught, & she volunteered with the Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society, Planned Parenthood, & other progressive groups. Jacque was a caring and generous person throughout her life, helping many people and animals in need when she encountered them. Her memory is a blessing to all those who knew & loved her. Donations in her honor to the World Health Organization are much encouraged. Thank you to caring family & friends for your love & support through this period of loss.
