JONATHAN L. PHILLIPS

Des Moines

Jonathan Lynn "Jon" Phillips, 48, died suddenly on Thursday, January 21, at his home in Des Moines. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, January 26, at Iles Funeral Homes - Westover Chapel in Des Moines, with burial following at Glendale Cemetery in Des Moines.

Jon was born on December 3, 1961 in Des Moines, Iowa to Richard Lynn "Dick" and Karen Jeanne (Rabe) Phillips. He had attended DMACC in Des Moines. For several years, Jon was employed as a Press Operator with various printing companies. He loved to cook, garden, spend time with family and walk his dog. Jon loved camping and being in the great outdoors.

He is survived and lovingly remembered by his parents, Dick and Karen Phillips of Des Moines; brother, Michael Phillips of Des Moines; sister, Lisa (Robert) Benjamin of Bartlett, IL; two nephews, Lucas Benjamin and Tyler Benjamin; and three uncles and two aunts, Al (Betty) Phillips of Des Moines, Max Phillips of Fulton, MO and Ray (Sandi) Rabe of Statesville, NC. Jon was preceded in death by his grandparents.

The family will greet friends from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on Monday, January 25, at the funeral home.
