Calvin Eugene Jennings, age 68, went home to be with the Lord on November 26, 2018. Calvin was a lifelong member of Union Tabernacle of God. He served in the US Navy and retired from the US Postal service after 22 years. He is preceded in death by his parents, Bishop Charles M. and Mary "Christine" Jennings, brothers, Charles "Earl" Jennings and Minister Samuel "Frank" Chatman; sister, Deborah A. Angelle. He leaves to cherished his memories, loving and devoted wife, Brenda Jennings, sons; Michael McCoy, Jonathon (Abigail) Jennings, and Brian Jennings, daughters; Alyssa and Cara Jennings, grand-daughter, Alexis McCoy, brother, James "Albert" (Michaelle) Jennings, sisters, Mary (Robert) Welch, Glenda (Pastor Philip) Johnson, special friend, Albert Taylor. A host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. "Joy Night" from 4 PM to 6 PM Sunday, December 2 , 2018 at Union Tabernacle of God, 1435 Atcheson St., Columbus, OH. Home-Going Celebration, 11 AM, Monday, December 3, 2018 at Trinity Baptist Church, 461 St. Clair Ave., Cols, OH. Family will receive friends 10 AM until time of service. Interment Evergreen Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to SMOOT FUNERAL SERVICES, 4019 E. Livingston Ave., Cols., OH. 614-444-1 GOD (1463).

To the entire Jennings family it was my great honor to have known Calvin a short time in our lives.I worked with Calvin at the Westerville Post Office.Calvin was a very clean cut, honest,hard working man I had the pleasure of meeting in my life.I will remember Calvins great smile and laugh forever.I will never understand why GOD takes such great people at a young age during the up coming Holiday Season for happy times with family.May God bless Calvin we all know Calvin is in good hands above all of us.
