Betty Headlee Obituary

Headlee (Harris) Betty L. (nee Harris) Headlee, 89, of Dublin, Ohio, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 25, 2015. She was greatly loved, appreciated, and will be greatly missed by family and friends. She married John J. Headlee in 1946 and they were married for 50 years. Preceded in death by parents Leo and Ada Harris, husband John J. Headlee, DVM, baby son Daryl Headlee, brothers Robert (Virginia) Harris and Dalton Harris, brothers and sisters-in-law David Headlee, Bill Headlee, Roger Headlee, George and Catherine Headlee, Harold and Wilma Headlee, Joan Headlee, Jack Extenkamper and Virginia Harris. Betty is survived by children, Douglas Headlee of Dublin, Dianne (Cary) Hammond of Hilliard, Debbra (David) Brownfield of Ethiopia and David Headlee of Dublin; granddaughter, Traci (Matt) Brown of Logan; great-granddaughters, Emmeline and Millicent Brown; sister, Freda (Robert) Macy; sister-in-law, Mary Ann Harris; brothers and sisters-in-law, Irma Jean Extenkamper, Lee and Barb Headlee, Richard and Arlene Headlee, Jack and Eula Price, Norma Headlee, Charles and Margie Headlee, Diane Headlee, Wayne and Shelby Headlee, Jim and Claudette Headlee, John and Sharon Shoemaker, Mary Ann Harris and Robert Macy. Betty was a member of Dublin Community Church since 1943. Betty was also a lifetime member of The Auxiliary to the Ohio Veterinary Medical Association; Rebekah Lodge member and Financial Secretary for 36 years; member of Mr. and Mrs. Club and the Shamrockers. Family will receive friends 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. TUESDAY, MAY 5, 2015 at the RUTHERFORD FUNERAL HOME AT POWELL, 450 W. Olentangy St. (Powell Rd./St. Rt. 750/1/4 mile east of Sawmill Pkwy.), Powell, OH 43065. Funeral Service will be held at 1:30 p.m. WEDNESDAY, MAY 6, 2015 at DUBLIN COMMUNITY CHURCH, 81 W. Bridge St., Dublin, OH 43017. Burial will follow at Dublin Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to The Capital Area Humane Society, 3015 Scioto Darby Executive Ct., Hilliard, OH 43026 in Betty's memory. Condolences to: www.rutherfordfuneralhomes.com.
