Patricia Burgener Obituary
St. George, Utah
Patricia Lee Lazenby Burgener, 82, passed away peacefully March 15, 2017 in St. George. She was born December 23, 1935 in Long Beach, CA.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Reba Lou Lazenby and John M. Black. She chose to take the name of Lazenby from her loving step-father. She was raised in Southern California and Arizona.
She graduated from BYU with a Master's degree in Education. She taught school in Covina, CA, Salem OR, Salt Lake City and retired from Clark County School District in Las Vegas, NV.
She met her eternal partner, Melvin F. Burgener later in life and they enjoyed traveling and doing temple work. The both had a passion for oil painting, at which they both excelled. He preceded her in death on January 24, 2013.
She is survived by her loving younger sister, Sue (Thomas) Hamby; step-brothers: Ferrell (Marba) Lazenby, and Ray Don (May) Lazenby; many nieces and nephews, as well as many loving friends and ward members.
Graveside services will be held on Saturday, March 18, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in the Ivins Cemetery. Funeral Directors, Magleby Mortuary, Richfield, Salina and Manti. Online guest book www.maglebymortuary.com
